First-Ever NICU Reunion = Success!

On September 15, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) held their first Annual NICU Reunion.  The event was attended by approximately 25 families with nearly 75 people taking part.  The graduates ranged in age from 3 months to 11 years old.  The kids enjoyed many activities including cupcake decorating and a cupcake walk, pin-the-tail on the donkey and a bean bag toss, tattoos and a coloring station, a bouncy house, having their caricature done and a tour of a fire truck.  Parents were able to reconnect with other parents, as well as staff.  The staff enjoyed visiting with families and seeing the “product” of their work and how well all the children are doing.  With new ideas, the staff is already looking forward to next year’s “Grads Reunion.”
